Very cool to be featured on this blog! The dinglong, or danglony in English :) is suspended by two chains that are fastened to the top of the window frame. It's easier to see on this image: http://drevon.no/thomas/dinglong/hege_thomas_dinglong_stor.jpg

Because of its light weight we simply hoist it up, detach it and take it inside when we're not using it.

Tack Mattias och Dirk för er värmande uppmuntran!

Dirk: I'm not really sure how the Dinglong is constructed or attached. From just looking at the picture it doesn't look very reliable. Perhaps it's fixed from within the appartment (behind the window)?

But hey, it's Norweigian... and from just 500 NOK - what could you expect ;D

Fint blogg!

i happen to be a Hollander in sthlm,
and i can tell you that safety regulations are swiftly copied from Sweden,
so i guess the balcony is safe if its approved.
just curious, the ding long, is it just a wood board, i cant see suspension wires or something like that?

i love offbeat solutions, and am guilty of a few myself, eg.
http://www.nupi.nl/index.php?id=8abf5c5a9e
(yep thats me)

again, great blogg! keep it up, dj

Najce. Blir alltid lika imponerad att Finstilt gör lite djupare grävande i webbvärlden och hittar alternativ och referenser. Bra journalistik.
